Andrew Gardner leaves for the Phillipines

One of my Sunday School kids that Paul and I have taught for 6 years , left on his mission to the Phillipines so I drove out to the airport to help him get checked in and say goodbye. It was so good to see him and hear about his time at the MTC. He will be a wonderful missionary and I look forward to hearing about all his adventures in the next two years to come. Goodbye Andrew until we meet again.

Raging Waters

Our first time to Ragin Waters this year and it was a hot and windy day. But we all had a great time. All the family was there except Nikki and her family. The water really felt good on such a hot day. We stayed for about three hours. It was really crowded so we decided that next time we go we will try for a weekday or evening. We bought season passes so I really want to try and go alot..Grayson loved the water and Papa and him even got a nap in.

Dave's Birthday

On June 20th it was Dave's birthday but Porter, Ryland, Steven and I were all sick with strep throat so we postponed the party till friday night. We all went out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse and it was so yummy. Of course we all ate way to much, between their yummy rolls and our cactus blossom. The night was really fun, although our family is getting so big now we had to sit at two different tables. We still made the best of it and had a great visit. David got lot's of Amazon gift cards as he loves to shop on line..Happy Birthday Dave, we love you....

This year for Father's Day, it was a little streesful for me as I was asked to speak in sacrament meeting on Father's. I really hate speaking as I usually cannot keep my emotions intact. The talk went well and yes I did do a little crying, but oh well that's me.

It was our week for the kids for dinner, but they all stopped by to visit their dad and give him his tradition Cabella's card. I wonder what the next purchase will be. Anyway it was nice to have them all over for a little while.

Dirty Dash

Nikki talked the family into running a 5k for Dirty Dash. Its a run and a obstacle course in the mud. Linda Luthi and I decided we were much smarter that all the rest by volunteering to help with the race and let everyone else get all dirty. The race started around 12:30 and even Porter got to run in a piglet race with his dad and grandpas. It was a lot of fun and everyone seeemed to have a great time. We'll see if they want to do it again next year.

We finally got all of us together to take some much overdue pictures. The last family pictures we took are when Nikki and Steven had just gotten married. We have added a lot more members to our family now. The pictures were taken at Day Break, out by Holli and Dave's place. They turned out ok, just a little to sunny at the time. Oh well with Nikki pregnant again I guess we will have to do it again next year.
