The Living Aquarium

On Wednesday Nikki and Holli plana fun activity for them and their children to do. This week they decided to invite me since I wasn't working. They picked the Sandy Aquariam. It was so fun and Grayson out of all three seemed to like it the most. It wasn't afraid to put his hand in the touching tank. He loved running around and exploring all the fun things to see. Porter enjoyed it also but Ryland was a little scared. Everything is in big tanks and you can walk around and see amazing fish and pretty much anything under the sea.

Getting out of the Haze

 It's winter and sometimes that means an inversion. This year it seems like it has been really bad and it just won't go away. The whole valley is filled with this gross air and you can't even see the sky, mountains or even the sun. It holds the temps down and it is just depressing. So today I took Nikki and her kids and we headed up the mountain to Park City for a day in the sun. It was so fun, we went to Maxwells for pizza and the kids ate so much. They were so cute. We colored while we waited for our food. Then we headed to the outlet mall so the kids could play on the playground there. It was snowy but we cleared it off and used grocery bags to sit on it to go down the slide. They loved it. Nikki sat in the car and watched us while she fed baby Keslee. They didn't want to stop they were having so much fun. After, we went to Children's Place and bought a new top for each kid. We ended the day at Mrs. Fields for ice cream. It was such a fun time for all of us. Then at 2:30 we had to head back down to the yucky valley of smog....

Starting the new year with old friends

On a whim I decided to see if I could get a few of our old neighbors together. We use to get together every month when our kids were small and life was busy. Now that our kids are gone we never seem to be able to get together anymore. So on Friday morning I texted everyone and said we were getting together for dinner. To my surprise everyone responded with a yes...it was even Bob's birthday so we celebrated that also. We had dinner at my house and everyone brought something yummy to add to our roast dinner.
The night was so fun to see everyone and catch up. We ate and played games just like we use to. We are really going to try to make this a habit again every month. We'll see how it goes.
