Happy Halloween 2012

Well this year was the warmest Halloween on record. It was 75 degrees today. You didn't even need a coat to go trick or treating. All the kids came over and we had our traditional chili and scones. We decided not to do the hot wassle and did rootbeer instead. It just wasnt cold enough to have a hot drink.
The grandkids were darling in their costumes. Grayson even learned to walk this week so he was able to walk around in his cute monster costume. Holli told him if he didn't start walking that he couldn't go trick or treating...I'm sure that made the difference..haha
We didn't get very many kids this year, I think our neighborhood is getting older. Maybe it's time to move to a new younger neighborhood.

Dinner and pumpkins

This year we decided to combine our family Sunday dinner with carving our pumplins. We had homemade stew and rolls. Even a spider roll. Then after dinner we played Halloween Bingo and then carved out some really cute pumplins. It was a fun night and loved having all the kids there. Even Brooke joined us.

Nikki's ward Halloween Party

Nikki and Steven invited Paul and I to come with them to their ward Halloween party as our
ward this year decided to cancel. It was a fun night and Paul and I even dressed up. The kids had a really fun time and their ward did a chili contest and even a costume contest. Afterwards they had a trunk or treat in the parking lot for all the kids.

Our Annual Witches Night out......

This year they had Witches Night out on two different weekends, however the only day all the girls could go was on Friday and it was raining. It wasn't to cold so we decided we would still go and have some fun. This year all the girls went and Holli invited her sister-in-law Katy and her cousin to come with us. We had a great time and the scones were yummy. Not a big turn out probably due to the weather. Holli even won the Cackle contest and got a pretty spider bracelet...

Alex's Birthday

For Alex's birthday we were invited to join his family for dinner at The Crackle Barrel because he really wanted biscuits and gravy and then when we got there he ended up ordering a steak.. Pretty funny. His mom and Dad and Sister and her husband, Holli and Grayson and Paul and I were all there for his birthday dinner. I forgot to take any pictures so on Sunday we had all the kids over for dinner and I made him a favorite dinner with Brownies and ice cream afterwards. I finally remember to take a few snaps...Anyway Alex we hope you had a great birthday.

Paul's Birthday

This year Paul turned 55. It's hard to believe that we are getting this old. I really don't feel it.
Anyway we had a great day. We went to a Movie and saw a cute flick called Trouble with the Curve with Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams. Then that night I had all the kids over for Homemade Chili and cornbread. Then for dessert Homemade Cherry Cheesecake and Apple Pie. We played cards with all the kids and opened presents. It really was a nice night to have everyone over..Happy Birthday Paul....

The kids all gave him Cabella's gift cards, including one from my parents. I just gave him a new pair of Keen shoes and some new clothes..pretty boring...
