Happy Pioneer Day!

This year we spent the weekend cutting down the old globe willow tree. This past winter really did a number on the tree and we had lost half of the tree, so we made the decision to cut it down. We lost all our shade and our privacy but now we don't have to worry that the tree will fall into our neighbors yard.

On friday Nikki and I and the kids took a ride on the Heber Creeper. It was a 90 minute ride which was just long enough for the kids not to get bored. They actually had a great time and the scenery was beautiful. That night we all went out to dinner as a family except for Kailie and Alex. She had to work a late shift.

On Saturday we took Alex and Kailie and one of his groomsman waterskiing. It was the first time we took the boat out and the day was perfect as well as the water. We had a great time. I even skiied twice and am feeling it today. That night Paul and I went to my friend Jan's for a great time with the Delta friends. We had a great dinner and a nice visit.

On Sunday we went up in the canyons with Nikki and her family for a great BBQ. Kailie had to work again and Holli and Dave went with his family. We had a yummy dinner and watched the kids play. It was a really fun way to spend the evening.

Dinner at Holli's

Dave and Holli have been working in their backyard, so instead of having the traditional Sunday dinner at my house, we all went over to theirs. The dinner was yummy and after dinner we all went over to one of the many parks in Day Break for a fun night of Zip lining and swinging..

Kailie's family shower

On July 16th Nikki and Holli through Kailie a family Bridal shower. They went to a lot of work and money to make the day very special for Kailie. They had a Tea Party Shower and the decorations and food were great. Although we didn't have a great turn out....partly because Paul's family doesn't know how to support family functions.....the day was wonderful and Kailie got a lot of nice things.

Thanks Nikki and Holli for a job well done and all the work you two went to.
