On the 23rd of November another great man in our family passed away. My Uncle Larry had been suffering from Alcholism and finally succomb to the illness. On November 29th we flew up to Oregon and stayed with my cousin Dan and his wife Nancy to attend the funeral. The funeral was held on the 30th and it was attended by alot of my relatives. It was really nice to see them all. After the funeral my cousin Nick and his wife Alice had everyone over to their place for a nice luncheon. The day was really nice. I will truly miss my Uncle Larry. May he finally rest in peace from all his demons.

Thanksgiving with the Family
Since our world has been turned upside down for awhile we weren't able to have Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving day. So we celebrated once with Marsha's family and then again with our own little family on the 27th of November. It was nice to have all the kids together. We are getting so big as a family that we may soon have to break into two tables. But we manage to squeeze all in and it was nice.

The Funeral
On November 26th we held the funeral for Paul's dad. It was cold but sunny and all the family was there. Before the funeral we had some of the family over for Breakfast.
The funeral was really nice. All the great grandkids and grandkids sang a song. Holli and Dave did a duet that was absolutely amazing. Mike Paulsen spoke as well as Madison. It was a great tribute to Paul.
Afterwards we went back to my ward and they served us a wonderful lunch. It was a beautiful day and one that we will always remember.

Paul H. Paulsen
Sadly on November 17th Paul's mom called to say that his dad was not doing very well and she needed some help. The next morning we loaded the car along with Holli and Grayson and headed for St. George.
When we arrived we were so surprised to see how poorly he was doing. All of the siblings came down also and we helped Jewel take care of Paul. Hospice was called and we all watched and waited for that dreadful time. There were alot of great stories shared about fond memories that they had had with their dad. He was an amazing man and had sacrificed alot for his children. On Sunday morning around 4:00 a.m. he finally passed. Tears were shed and goodbyes were said. We helped Jewel clean things up and then all of the family headed back to Salt Lake to get things ready for the funeral.
