Mom's Birthday

Today is my mom's birthday. Although she is far away in St. George I was still able to call her
and wish her a Happy day. Nikki and the kids did even better by making a cute card and then taking a picture of it and posting it on facebook for all to see, including mom. Sounds like she had a great day...

Happy Birthday mom may you have many more to come....

Family Night

Tonight we met over at Kailie and Alex's place and had a fun night of pizza and playing games...We played cards and a singing game in which we got to come up with songs that had paticular words in them. It was loud but so much fun...Thanks everyone for a fun night...we need to this more often...

Happy New Year's Day

A new year brings new promise. As this new year begins there are a few things that I hope for. One is less death and more births. We have had our share of deaths for awhile and I am really hoping that that will come to a close for awhile. Here's hoping for some new members of the family to come weather it be this year or at least in the making....There truly is nothing better than little grandkids.
Here's also hoping for a healthy happy year for our family. Also but most importantly here's hoping that we as a family can stay close to our Heavenly Father and remember him often in our day to day events.
2012 here's to new beginings.......

Happy New Year

We did our annual dinner at Pistol Pete's this year with the Stringams and then back to the house for cards. We have been playing this card game now for many years and we start a fresh pot of $30.00 each year. At the end of the year we add up our coins and see who the bid winner was. Again this year the Stringams took the pot. They won us by a big $7.00.  Although we didn't stay up till midnight playing cards, the night was a fun spending time with people we care about. Thanks Stringhams for your wonderful friendship over the years and here's to many more years ahead.

This past year as been a very busy and eventful year. We have had a wedding, a new baby and have lost two very dear people in our lives. Here's to another year of happiness and less loss. May the upcoming year be a wonderful year to remember. May God be close in all our lives and may we always love one another and stay close as a family. Happy New Year to 2012.

Merry Christmas

This year we started the morning out early, like 6:00 a.m. over at Nikki and Steven's house and watched them open their Christmas presents. Then at 10:00 we went to church with them. It was a really nice Christmas program. Afterwards we came back to the house and started getting the dinner in the oven. Around 2:00 the kids started showing up and the mess began. We had so many nice things that were given to each other and I think that everyone had a really nice Christmas. Kailie got a sewing machine, Steven a new fly rod, Alex got a car kit, David new luggage, Holli and new coat, and Nikki lot's of new sweaters. I got Lot's of slippers and some nice sweaters. Paul made me a beautiful frame for my new temple picture. Dad got lots of movies and new golf shirts, mom got a family album with lots of great pictures and a new sweater set. Scott got some gift cards and lots of clothes. Porter got a few race tracks and lots of cars, Ryland got a riding car and a basket to go shopping with. Grayson got a lot of new clothes and a homemade blankee from his mom. All in all I think it was a wonderful day. Dinner was yummy and we even managed to get everyone seated in the dinning room. Holli made the pies and they were the best... What a wonderful Christmas day it was...

Twas the night before Christmas

On Christmas eve I had to go to work at 5:00 a.m. but was back home by 1:30 so off we went to the movies. All the kids except Nichole and her family, plus my parents all headed to see Sherlock Holmes. It was a great movie and enjoyed by all. Afterwards all the kids headed to spend time with their other families. It was a great afternoon. That evening one ny one they returned to open that "ONE" present, of course their PJ'S. Finally at around 10:30 we all headed off to bed to wait for St. Nick to arrive.
